SCOPE

The scope of this procedure is to ensure that the R2 certification standards: 2013 data destruction requirements are being placed we securely wipe all hard drives making them compline with NIST 800-88 standards.

OVERWRITING/WIPING

Overwriting, or wiping, is a software procedure that performs a multiple pass wipe and replacement of the previously stored data on magnetic media with predefined meaningless data.  TNR only utilizes software that meets the industry’s accepted standard.
